How many were having a heart attack Saturday? Me for one! The girls did a great job. They are really beginning to hit the ball. We won our game 26-25.
Coach Randy gave out 2 Team Hustle Awards:
They went to Whitney for being hit by a pitch and staying in the game and playing hard.
The other one went to Delaney for batting in the winning run.
Way to go Girls!

Thunder Cats vs. Stars
What a game! ThunderCats held off a last inning effort by the Stars. The ThunderCats won 23-21.
Defense of the ThunderCats helped them to win past the Stars. Cassie made the first double play for the Cats this season. She caught a flyball and then doubled the runner off at first.
The Offensive attack was led by Cassie with 6 hits, 4 singles and 2 homeruns. Darby, Anna, Brynlee, Delaney, Lilly, and Ariana each contributed 5 hits. Whitney and Kami contributed 4 hits each.
The team "Hustle Award" was presented to Cassie.

Thunder Cats vs. Sluggers
Thursday night the Thunder Cats couldn't get their defense going. The Thunder Cats were beaten by the Sluggers 13-23.
On the offensive side the Thunder Cats were led by Anna, Darby, and Cassie who each had 4 hits in the game. Darby had a double and a homerun in her 4 hits. Cassie had one homerun in her 4 hits. Delaney had 3 hits, Ariana and Kamyrn had 2 hits, and Whitney and Lilly had 1 hit each.
The Team "Hustle" Award went to Kamryn who stopped several balls in the outfield and ran the bases hard.

The Thunder Cats next game will be Thursday, April 7 at 5:30 P.M. against the Sluggers.

Thunder Cats vs. Silver Stars
Today the Thunder Cat played against the Silver Stars. The Silver Stars were a good hitting team and scored 23 runs. The ThunderCats bats could not keep up with that. The Thunder Cats could only muster up 15 runs. So, a disappointing loss for the ThunderCats.
Our offense at the plate was led by Cassie and Darby with 5 hits a piece. Anna, Brynlee, and Ariana each contributed 4 hits. Delaney and Kami each contributed 3 hits and Lilly had 2 hits.
Cassie belted out a homerun and a triple in her 5 hits.

Next Opponent...... April 2
Our next game is April 2 at 10:30 A.M. against the Silver Stars. I am planning to try and take a picture of each girl so I can post them on the blog. If you don't want them on the blog, let me know.
March 31, 2011 ThunderCats vs. Angels
We played our 2nd regular season game at 5:30 against the Angels. We had a few players out and only had 7 players at the game. The girls played their hearts out and we came out with a huge victory.
The final score was 18-14. It was a cool night ,but our girls focused (as much as 5 and 6 year olds can) and got the job done.
Our slamming 18 runs were a team effort. Every girl on the team got on base and had a hit.
Leading the force was Darby who went 5 for 5 during the game. Helping her out with 4 hits each were: Anna, Cassie, Whitney, and Kami. Ariana and Lilly contributed 3 hits each. Cassie had 2 home runs this game.

Kami and Whitney held down the outfield not letting any balls go through to the fence.
